Our background began pre-computer design, using traditional design tools such as Letraset, type scales, cut & paste (literally) using pens, ink with alot of creativity and imagination.
The advances in computers increased the speed and quantity at which work could be produced, however it didn't replace the designers creativity or ideas. It is a tool like any other.
Multimedia was relatively a new concept when we started creating web site solutions for companies. The first web browsers we used including Netscape Navigator 2 would display text, and images and links in the same page with very little styling.
The first CD-Rom we produced at the time cost £15 per blank CD and £60 to burn a disc in a bureau. Now you can buy discs for less than 25p and burn them at home in minutes.
Things change very fast, so at Kanmedia we are always looking at new and emerging technologies, so that when they become mainstream we can offer these technologies to our clients and have already assessed their potential benefits.
